Christy & Joel's Snow Day Wedding
On January 6, 2024, Christy and Joel decided to tie the knot on what turned out to be our only snowy wedding of the year. And let me tell you, it was nothing short of magical.
The ceremony was at St. Catherine's Catholic Church, which with the snow, looked like it had been sprinkled with fairy dust. It was freezing, sure, but the warmth from their vows could've melted the snow around us.
Then we all sledded (a metaphor for driving) over to the Willows at Historic Strasburg for the reception. The venue, already charming, was transformed into a winter wonderland. Everyone was a real trooper, battling the cold like pros, and the dance floor was on fire - metaphorically speaking, because, well, it was still cold.
Now, I'll let you in on a little secret: I spent most of the day looking more like a snowman than a photographer, all wrapped up in my coat and hat. But hey, when the snow gives you that perfect, soft light for your photos, you just roll with it.
Christy and Joel, you two are the rockstars of this winter saga. Not only did you make it through a day where the weather was doing its best to photobomb every shot, but you turned it into something spectacular. Your love story got an extra chapter of magic, and I'm betting every guest left feeling like they'd just stepped out of a Hallmark movie.
So here's to you, Christy and Joel, for having one of the coolest (and I mean that literally) weddings I've ever photographed. Thanks for allowing me to capture this snowy love story of yours, and may every day of your marriage be as magical as your wedding day.
